Hello Art-School Dropouts Bloggers,
Thanks to Tehfaiz for the very kind introduction. I am currently a illustrator and designer who’s resurfacing himself on the internet. In addition to launching a new website later this FALL, I am also going to test the waters with this activity we all love call blogging, hence my hanging out with the dropout crew here…
So to start things off I would like to make you all aware of some asian related music events happening in the NYC area this coming weekend.
FETES 2009 at Webster Hall (thanks to Superglorious for letting me create this years poster, forgive the pixalation ahh…see below)

This years FETES will be featuring groups with all female leads. Thus featuring Echostream, Gelatine, Kokusyoku Sumire and Swinging Popsicle.

This ALL-FEMALE MUSIC GROUP will have their first US performance @ WEBSTER HALL opening up for the FETES Concert on Sunday.
This coming weekend will also be home to another asian music showcase featuring three indie rock bands from China. The bands are Hedgehog, Queen Sea Big Shark, and Casino Demon. Their party will be at new hot spot in town Santo’s Party House on Saturday night.

1. New GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) manga called Shonan 14 Days
2. Thirst by Park Chan-wook
3. The new Philadelphia Mural Project called A Love Letter For You by Steve “ESPO” Powers.
4. Drop by Koji Suzuk. A horror story published/printed on a toliet paper roll.
5. Cold Cave – Love Comes Close
